George Washington University's International Institute of Tourism Studies (IITS) offers event management classes to meet the training needs of the emerging field of meeting and event planning professionals. Offered by university partners throughout the world, the event management program is the first comprehensive certificate program in higher education that provides classroom and online training based on industry certificate requirements. Event management courses are designed for students interested in the theoretical and practical aspects of event and meeting management, including research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation of events, including comprehensive wedding planner courses. Emphasis is on the training required for a successful career as an event and meeting professional. Complete the The January through June schedule is online.
